I wrote the weekly wine column for the “Arkansas Democrat Gazette” for thirteen years, as well as a bi-weekly restaurant review for two years, a weekly book review in the religion section of the paper for four years, and a Sunday editorial for over two years. I have both an M.A. and Ph.D. in English, a subject which (along with Asian Studies) I taught at the high school and university levels (nationally and internationally) for the past forty years.
